DAVID PIPERNI
|
In 2000, David Piperni, a sales executive
with over 10 years of international television experience,
founded Cargo Film & Releasing. The distribution and
production company is staffed by an international group of
dedicated television and film professionals. Unlike other
distributors, Cargo is committed to only certain genres of
programming. Specialists at their craft, Cargo personnel
aim to establish solid and reliable relationships with
like-minded broadcasters, buyers, producers and filmmakers
from around the world. We also consider our company to be
?producer-friendly? with representation agreements that
are unlike the standard industry agreements in the field.
SALES & FINANCING
Cargo Film & Releasing specializes in representing
Features, Lifestyle, Reality, Travel, History, Culture and
Music & Arts content for the domestic and
international marketplace. We attend all major television
and film conferences and markets including MIPTV, MIPCOM,
NATPE, HOT DOCS, IFP WEEK NY, TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL,
SUNDANCE, NEW YORK FILM & VIDEO FESTIVAL, TRIBECA FILM
FESTIVAL, AFM, DISCOP, ATF, IDFA, MONTREAL WORLD FILM
FESTIVAL, EFM, SUNNYSIDE OF THE DOCS and REALSCREEN
SUMMIT. We work with projects at every stage of
development and production, spending considerable time
developing marketing material and locating financing for
projects.
We have been involved with equity financing and have
raised money via broadcaster commissions, pre-selling
international rights and setting up co-productions with
respected international production companies. We executive
produce many projects in the Cargo catalogue.
